Lighting-up Liverpool LIFT buildings to raise awareness for good causes

South Liverpool Treatment Centre and Kensington Neighbourhood Health Centre will join together with other prominent buildings across Liverpool in lighting-up to raise awareness for charities and other good causes.

Liverpool & Sefton Health Partnership (LSHP), working together with Head Tenant, Community Health Partnerships (CHP), and FM provider Integral, have installed LED lights on the exterior facades of the two buildings.

The first good cause to be focused was World Diabetes Day on the 14th November, with the two buildings light-up blue – as shown in the photos. The initiative came about in response to a request from Liverpool University Hospital FT to join other prominent buildings across the city; New Royal Hospital, St Georges Hall, Cunard Building, Liverpool One and Radio City Tower, who will all light up with blue lights on the 14th November to show their support for World Diabetes Day.

The lighting will give the buildings the ability to support national awareness campaigns throughout the year, such as lighting up pink for Breast Cancer and yellow for the COVID Day of Reflection.

These two prominent NHS Neighbourhood Health Centres offer a wide range of health & wellbeing services designed to meet the needs of the local population.

Delivering an updated Estates Strategy for Cheshire and Merseyside

Liverpool & Sefton Health Partnership is delighted to continue the long-standing partnership with Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership by delivering an updated Estates Strategy. The strategy will incorporate each of the nine localities “places” across the region and cover primary care, community care, acute healthcare with the support from Local Authorities to deliver Estate Solutions.

Award recognises commitment to delivering and supporting social value.

Liverpool & Sefton Health Partnership (LSHP) and gbpartnerships group (gbp) are delighted to announce that they have been awarded the Cheshire and Merseyside Social Value Award. The Award helps organisations deliver Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Social Value and recognises their roles as anchor institutions.

LSHP and gbp join more than 40 organisations - including local Councils, Clinical Commissioning Groups and NHS providers - who all recognise the Award, which is administered by The Social Value Business on behalf of Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership.

The two organisations are responsible for the effective management of a portfolio of 15 LIFT buildings that are used for health, wellbeing and social care service delivery across Liverpool and Sefton, and, more recently, working to support Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership with the delivery of the Greener NHS agenda across the Northwest.

Established in 2001, the Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) programme has brought about the largest and most concentrated investment in the primary healthcare and community estate across England. In Cheshire and Merseyside, the LIFT Programme, delivered by LSHP and gbp, has resulted in the development of 15 high-quality health and wellbeing hubs.

These buildings are located within some of the most disadvantaged communities meaning they provide vital services to those who need it most. Historically, the buildings have been home to numerous community events, as varied as careers fayres to cake sales. As we continue to emerge out of the COVID pandemic, there is a real focus on bringing back these events and opportunities so the buildings once again can be placed at the heart of the local communities.
